VibrationMeterBase.SensorEdit Method
Syntax
Java
public static void SensorEdit(Sensor sens, Double heartBeat, Integer windowFunction, Integer measurementMethod, Integer assessmentInterval, Integer vibrationIntensityThreshold, Integer failedTransmissionsBeforeLinkMode);
Parameters
Description
Sensor sens
the Sensor object to be updated
Double heartBeat
How often the sensor communicates with the gateway if no activity recorded.
Integer windowFunction
No Window = 0 (Best frequency resolution), Hanning Window = 1 (Good frequency resolution and amplitude accuracy), Flattop Window = 2 (Best amplitude accuracy)
Integer measurementMethod
Determines the method of measurement of the sensor. Presents axes data in RMS, Absolute Mean, or Peak only Data. (RMS = 0, Peak Only = 1, Absolute Mean = 2)
Integer assessmentInterval
Determines how often the sensor takes a measurement . for example, if the Heartbeat is 10 minutes and the Assessment interval is 1 minute, the sensor will make a measurement every minute, but only report every 10 minutes.
Integer vibrationIntensityThreshold
This value determines the g-forces required to wake up the sensor to take a measurement. if the g-forces are not greater than this, the sensor will remain asleep. Values range from 1 to 127, each unit is .063 g-forces.
Integer failedTransmissionsBeforeLinkMode
The number of transmissions the sensor sends without response from a gateway before it goes to battery saving link mode. In link mode the sensor will scan for a new gateway and if not found will enter battery saving sleep mode for 2 hours before trying to scan again. Lower number will allow sensors to find new gateways with fewer missed readings. Higher numbers will cause the sensor to hold it setting in a noisy RF environment better. (Zero will cause the sensor to never enter link mode. to find a new gateway channel the battery will have to be cycled out of the sensor.)

Allows for the update of the specific type of sensor.
